FALLEN FOR A ST★R

you’re probably thinking… this blog is not even a month old, and it has, what, a dozen posts… and we gals actually want to create a FAQ page? hey, haven’t you heard about planning and doing things with scalability in mind?

yea, we plan to be F.A.M.O.U.S.

(joking lah… don’t think there’s fame or money in this fangirling thingy. the only money involved is ours. yea, our money flowing OUTWARDS to buy CDs, DVDs, merchandise, and going places to catch the boys!)

just thought that along the way, we will probably be encountering fans who will ask the same questions over and over again.  so, to save us gals the hassle of having to repeat ourselves, and also to avoid the situation of us rolling our eyeballs when we’re asked the same question for the 501th time, we’ve decided to create this FAQ page.

yup, the plan is to update this page as we go along…

THE WHOs…

LEADER

refers to kim hyun joong, leader of the south korean boyband SS501. and oh, just in case you’re really THAT dense and THAT slow, the ST★R we’re talking about here and whom we’ve fallen for… IS kim hyun joong, okie? are we all clear now

one more thing, each of the boys in SS501 sorta has a representative animal; leader’s is a dog (although he has a fervent wish to be reincarnated as a lion in his next life!)

SS501

as mentioned above, leader is a part of this five-member boyband, SS501, that made its debut on 2005.06.08 under the management of DSP agency. with leader heading the band, the other four members are (by age) heo young saeng, kim kyu jong, park jung min and kim hyung joon (maknae, aka baby).

in terms of representative animals, young saeng is likened to an otter, kyu jong to a gorilla, jung min to a horse (mal), and baby to a rabbit.

THE GALS

… that’s us!  the gals refer to the three leader fans who got close when they signed up as members of the SS501 fanclub in singapore, SG TRIPLES, and they eventually decided to create their own space so that they can do whatever they want with leader! (virtually, of course! unless we finally figure out a way to find him, kidnap him, lock him AND us up, and then throw away the key, wakaka!)

PRINCESS

as of now (wait, let me check the date, okie, it’s 2009.12.07), there’s only one princess on this blog, and she’s happiebb, aka BB. she likes to refer to herself as princess, and yes, she really does answer to that if anyone addresses her by that. she is currently in the midst of trying to transform coerce persuade the other two gals to self-proclaim themselves as princesses too. (will update of progress, ya?)

incidentally, princess bb sometimes refers to herself as the pink one too, since she adores the color.

THE TURQUOISE/BLUE ONE

since princess bb ‘owns’ the color pink, it’s only appropriate that the other two gals too have colors to call their own. emz fancies the turquoise shade, so okie, she’s the turquoise one. but but but, turquoise may not be available as a color selection in all instances, so during such time, emz may pick an alternative color, blue.

THE PURPLE ONE

miyo’s fave color is purple. let it be said although she has not accepted the fact that there’s a princess inside her wanting to get out, she does already possess certain traits of a princess. yea, she’s rather particular and insistent about the particular shade of purple that she wants. nope, not the light lilac type, that’s too faint and soft, more for the weaklings amongst princesses. miyo wants her purple with more ‘substance’ and ‘depth’, yea, more pinkish orchid, if you know what i mean…

GREEN PEAS

oh, occasionally you may come across ‘green peas’, and these refer to fans of SS501, who may or may not have leader as their fave. so you could say that being a green pea and being a leader fan are not mutually exclusive, nor are they definitely inclusive. that was too difficult for you to comprehend? oh, poor you! what we’re saying is a green pea is not necessarily a leader fan, nor is a leader fan for sure a green pea. get it now?

but that said, we like to think that most leader fans do like the other four boys, and we certainly want to see them do very very very very very well as a group. so yea, leader fans will usually lend their support for SS501.



THE WHATs…

BLOGDER

(noun; plural – blogders) this is also a portmanteau like leaderbie below. blog + reader = blogder!

blogder is used to describe a reader of a blog or blogs.

LEADERBIE

(noun; plural – leaderbies) this is a portmanteau, i.e. combining two words into one, and hee, we’ve coined the word ourselves. leader + newbie = leaderbie!

leaderbie is used to describe someone who is a new fan to leader.

STARLING

(noun; plural – starlings) this is also a portmanteau like leaderbie above. star’s + darling = starling!

starling is used to describe a registered member of the LOVEKIMHYUNJOONG.com fanclub (fansite).

LUB

(adjective) this is just a bad pronunciation of love.
