Hi5

just saw on BAIDU that in korea, real-time by-the-minute ratings are actually released.

for this first epi, the highest point achieved was 4.88% at 11:00pm (korean time), and the lowest was 2.60% at 10:09pm (korean time). i guess the rating of 3.31% could potentially be the average rating from all these per-minute ratings.

understand that there’ll be an actual (official?) rating released by the TV stations the following day. but but but, it’s been forewarned that this actual rating number is usually lower than the highest of the real-time rating (but that’s obviously the case mathematically….)

and oh, the TUDOU LINK for the chinese-subbed is already out!

if you’re waiting for the chinese-subbed download link, it’s already out. click HERE for the RAYFILE download.  major thanks to TSKS for undertaking this subbing project and doing it so quickly too!

and oh, understand that yoochun’s SUNG KYUN KWAN SCANDAL also didn’t exactly do very well on their first airing, think it’s 6.3%….

one more thing, i’d forgotten to mention in my earlier post that i didn’t like the ‘traces’ of GOONG (aka PRINCESS’ HOURS) in playful kiss. the tights underneath the uniform, the side-bun that hani was sporting… and aigoo, even the teddy bears…!!

My Heart is a STR

Hi5 if u like this, or u/std where we're coming fm ^_^

i think our boy did alright ( n will blossom as the film progress n is affected by “honey’s” presence. preview for tomoro looks promising)
    somin (& her kakis) shone.

the actors generally did a good job.. but i was very disappointed with the director’s vision & pacing.

its supposed to be fresh… but he recycled so many tactics frm goong.. (i was horrified to see the bears appearing.. a manga version wld have worked much better) imaginary scenes dragged for far too long that they felt lyk fillers and i lost the suspension to disbelieve.

if i were watching it on tv in korea, i wld definitely have been switching channels in between to catch gumiho…. hopefully they take in suggestions to improve… so every1′s effort gets recognized..

n i tink too much previews beforehand gave the show away…

    nonetheless, fighting!

i didnt think it was that bad. I could be biased but i really do see a difference in the way HJ portrays BSJ. HJ seems more nonchalant and aloof in this role, quite high and mighty! But, do agree that the teddybear scenes were abit erm… like frying old rice all over again(using old tactics). psst… guess what? i’m all prepared to perform a karate kick on the next vending machine which eats up my moolah! haha.

I still believe that Leader will rise and become better. He arrived in acting when he was already recognized as a very goodlooking endorser, he knows already his way in modelling and is almost perfect in it, he looks good whatever he does. His first love was music and playing the guitar so he belonged to a rock band and was the best bass guitarist. In SS501, his individual performances stood out from the rest because he was a total performer. He is the sexiest dancer, his voice is good although less stronger than his groupmates, he is a like a prince performing on stage. He can sing OSTs and make them very popular. His got this charm that shines from other bands and solo performers too. New fans would notice him right away. He was also already popular as a funny comedian in sitcoms or naturally funny as him in his interviews and shows.I remember pretty well he was the only choice for Yoon Ji Ho and selected first from the other F4 because of WGM. So he is excellent or almost perfect in those activities. Thus when he would venture into something new, naturally everyone’s expectations would be high. If he had started early when he was still an unknown, nobody would have noticed. I know leader will be brave to face these challenges that is why he accepted this role and he has done his best. I believe he gave justice to the role. When KeyEast got him I am sure they wanted to help him in this aspect. He was humble enough from the beginning on what he needs to work on. His life experiences made him strong and he was protected by divine providence earlier in his life because he is destined for bigger things. *_*

To capture an audience is done thru the story, the sequence and flow and the acting. But the focus here in the first episode was more like on the fantasies of HaNi on her longings toward Seung Jo. There were so many that it had less focus on the characters. But I did enjoy the part wherein they were dancing ballet and suddenly HaNi was thrown away. I laughed so hard. Those cute scenes, you call teddybears scenes of HaNi may have become quite typical in Korean series and maybe unnecessary. But perhaps I may need to watch the episode again this time with Eng Sub. But I believe the acting was given its justice but I felt it more in the teasers. I felt more of Seung Jo’s arrogance there. It has probably something to do with sequence or pacing in the drama.

I completely agree with the goong resemblance. I love goong, but this sort of resemblance I don’t think will be that good for the drama. just give ppl more things to complain about our hyunjoong ><

I'm probably biased, but i think mischievous kiss was awesome. :)

Do you guys feel it as well? Whenever seung jo walks towards hani, my heart nearly jump out haaha! I was so excited and nervous for her! I love dramas that makes me feel like this. And it's only EP1 and 2. ;D

I guess it helps that I’ve never watched the other versions of Kiss, or Goong for that matter… Plus am pretty uncritical generally speaking where acting is concerned, provided it’s adequate to enough to be believable. Having said that, the first episode did bore me a little with all the daydreams (apart from the Biker one!) — think I refrained from fast forwarding it only ‘cos I didn’t want to miss anything that would impact on the story later. Overall, really liked the second episode, bears and all!

Highness’ “protected by divine providence earlier in his life because he is destined for bigger things. ” Wah! This is well said. He’s also the first K-teen idol to get the H1N1 disease and made headlines. Also amongst all in SS501, he’s the one that always get hurt or injured too. So even this poor TV series ratings is news going all the way to HK. I always hope that he’d get to act in a movie directed by a HK movie director, that will be the day he’s really BIG!
