i’ve got ‘bad’ news.
i’ve received the latest update from the korean side, and yes, there’re changes again.
(keke, yea, yea, i already know about and am completely convinced of the saying, ‘the only constant in life is change’, so there’s no need to keep proving them to me, k? please go prove it to those who don’t believe in it…. *bb grumbles….)
the korean side has delayed their donation to the haitian cause. instead of sending in the donation yesterday (10th, wed) as planned, they’re now sending in their contribution tomorrow (12th, fri).
and they’re NOT able to do the second tranch for the overseas fans as per our original plan.
sorry, i wasn’t able to get detailed answers and explanation as yet. i guess with the urgency and also with the mad rush for CNY (which is one of the two biggest hols in south korea, the other being chuseok), everyone’s just trying their bestest to manage everything. if i eventually get to know the why’s and what’s, yes, i will share.
so the korean side has asked that we close the donation drive TONIGHT, so that i can inform them of the amount collected TONIGHT.
we will sort it out with them how they can help us include this amount in the donation tomorrow, and how we’re gonna wire the money over to them asap. leave the nitty-gritty for us to sort out, but i will need you gals to act really really really fast if you still want to be a part of this, k?
am terribly terribly terribly sorry about the constant changes… but i do seek your understanding that this ain’t our own (personal) project and we’re sorta piggybacking on the korean fans’ charity effort, so the best we can do is to try and meet their deadlines.
it’s kindda sad coz i know that some of you are actually waiting till the weekend to do the paypal thingy to me, and i also know that some of you are using paypal for the first time and in some places, further verification is needed before you can start using the service. but sorry, i don’t even have a couple of days to give you.
it’s now or wait till the next charity event, ya?
so if you want ‘in’ on this project, i need to you to quickly send me the money either via the local bank transfer or through paypal if you’re from overseas.
for those of you in singapore, it’s alot easier to sort out. i just need you to quickly transfer the money to me.
right now, i’ve only received donation from 18 STARLINGs, but in addition to these who have already done the funds transfer, i know of another 30-40 MORE STARLINGs who are were wanting to be a part of this. sighs… if only we’ve more time, then these 30-over fans can be a part of this.
meanwhile, i’ve also started a new thread on this on LOVEKIMHYUNJOONG FORUM. it might be easier for you to follow this donation drive from over there instead of on the blog since there might be different blog posts being put up ever so often.
