hey STARLINGs, do note that i will not be updating stuff posted on the forum here on the blog ALL the time. it’s time-consuming, and it’s also a duplication of effort and time. what’s the point of posting at both places, ya?
but coz this donation drive may involve fellow leader fans who may not have registered on our leader forum, that’s why i’ve decided to update both on the forum and also here. coz i do not want to ‘force’ anyone to register on the forum just to be a part of the LEADER FANS FOR HAITI project.

anyway, am just reposting what i’ve posted on our leader forum HERE.
1.0 LEADER FANS FOR HAITI PROJECT
after some ‘ding-ding-dong-dong’ and stuff, there’s been some changes to the project, and i would like to just update you gals…
the korean fans have heard that donations for haiti has decreased significantly and sharply of late, since the whole point of this charity exercise is to save lives and to help people, so a decision has been taken NOT to wait for the overseas fans’ donations.
instead, the project will be carried out in TWO phases.
the first phase will be by the korean fans, and they will be sending in their donation tomorrow (10th feb)
as for us, the overseas fans, the plan is for our donation to reach korea on 17th feb (wed), and this is also why we’ve extended the duration of our fundraising period from this friday (12th) to next monday (15th).
hee, since it’s CNY, we’re hoping some of the younger fans would consider donating part of their red packet.
now personally i think this is not a bad way to do things. first of all, from the humanitarian point of view, we’re sending aid at the earliest practicable time, instead of waiting for us to collect the funds and then waiting to wire the funds over to korea, blah blah blah.
and secondly, to do over two phases also help to highlight the fact that overseas fans too want a part of this, and the korean fans are more than willing to help push through the project together with us. so it shows unity amongst us.
and thirdly, if the media picks up the news and report it, having two tranches might just translate to the ‘same’ fundraising campaign getting exposure twice!
anyway, not to worry, nothing significant has changed, except that the fundraising event is now split over two tranches, ya?
i will update on more details of the korean fans’ effort later. over at their end, they’re expecting to put up the public notice/post about the campaign these two days.

okie… remember i was also asking you STARLINGs about sprees and all….? well, i’ve done some asking around and here are some updates:
2.0 BASIC HOUSE (BH)
the korean fans (PERFECT) will be contacting BH about the possibility of doing a spree for fans in the month of march. they are discussing about the items, prices, and other details now, and more details will be shared with us shortly.
3.0 TONY MOLY (TM)
as for TM, the korean side has not plans to conduct any sprees at the moment, but they will help check out the necessary contact details so that we can do it on our own if we so wish.
